Integra Telecom Launches IntegraFit Companywide

Integra Telecom Inc., an integrated telecommunications provider for business, launched IntegraFit companywide. A new comprehensive health and wellness program, IntegraFit furnishes tools and resources that empower employees to manage their overall health and well-being regardless of changes that may be occurring in the broader healthcare industry. At the heart of the program is the IntegraFit Wellness Portal, accessed through the corporate intranet site, which offers tips on tackling physical, emotional and financial issues.

Canadian GAAP Conversion to IFRS Navigating the New Waters

The adoption of IFRS for Canadian companies is in full swing. As of January 1, 2010, Canadian companies are required to file financial statements under IFRS. Although Canadian GAAP and IFRS are similar, there are three main differences that have posed a challenge for companies: effectiveness testing, hedge accounting eligibility, and fair value measurement.
