Duties:

-Work with the business and business analyst to derive business requirements
-Design, development and testing of software solutions including systems architecture
-Analysis and resolution of technical and enterprise wide systems
-Analysis of business requirements
-Contribute technically to team objectives
-Demonstrate a creative approach to solving business problems

The candidate should have:

-At least 2 years recent relevant postgraduate experience
-A B.Sc. or equivalent in Computer Science or a related discipline is essential
Expertise in one or more of Java, JEE, .Net, C#, OO design, C++, Client Server, RDBMS, web development, product integration
-Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate at various levels and across cultures**

The adoption of IFRS for Canadian companies is in full swing. As of January 1, 2010, Canadian companies are required to file financial statements under IFRS. Although Canadian GAAP and IFRS are similar, there are three main differences that have posed a challenge for companies: effectiveness testing, hedge accounting eligibility, and fair value measurement.
