The mission of this position is to manage annual and quarterly global IT planning activities as well as establishing, measuring and monitoring the performance of IT. This includes the delivery of a monthly scorecard and preparation and facilitation of on-going business reviews and other activities related to improving overall performance of the IT organization.
This position will work closely with IT communication and business readiness teams to create a plan that unifies the IT department through proactive and frequent communication. Reporting into the CIO, this person will be a key member of the IT executive leadership team and will be responsible to ensure that proper coordination happens within all IT groups to successfully deliver to the IT annual plan.
Desired Skills & Experience
Work closely with the members of the CIO leadership team to create an effective IT plan that is aligned with NetApp business priorities. This individual will be responsible for ensuring on-going growth in maturity within critical IT areas of Planning, Performance Management and SOX/Compliance. The responsibilities also including IT benchmarking and customer satisfaction surveys.
The immediate responsibilities for this role include:
Work with the CIO and IT Controller to create and implement an effective closed-loop annual and quarterly portfolio planning process. Work with the CIO staff to create and communicate fiscal year objectives and plans in alignment with corporate goals. Ensure regular updates on progress towards goals and objectives.
Create transparencies of IT spend and on-going cost efficiencies. Use effective business friendly framework to communicate IT spends to the business.
Work with Solution Delivery and Service Operations leaders to establish regular reviews of key initiatives and projects.
Responsible for IT Planning policies, methods, processes, measures, roles & responsibilities, capabilities, tools, templates, standards and training programs
Responsible for the ongoing development, implementation and integration of IT performance metrics to measure and manage the effectiveness of IT delivery and operations as well as value add to NetApp business.
Specifically for IT Planning:
Provide IT financial, vendor and human resource analysis and recommendations; establish and manage IT Planning & Management performance/quality and risk measures as well as root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts
Advocate and enforce adherence to IT Planning policies, procedures and standards
Provide consultative, facilitative and process management services to various service, solution and initiative teams
Provide conflict/escalation management and provide ongoing enforcement of standards
implement & maintain financial, vendor and human resources repositories, tools and templates
Implement and manage successful performance management process, resulting in regularly published Balanced Score Card, performance trends and issues identified and proactively resolved. Run regular IT benchmarking activities to ensure IT strategies and plans are aligned to industry best practices.
Lead M&A; integration
Ensure SOX compliance audits are passed successfully, and SOX controls are implemented, updated and reviewed operationally.
Key Requirements:
(1) Proven experience and track record of establishing and managing some of IT functions for $2B+ global hi-tech companies. Deep understanding of what it takes to be a world class IT organization.
(2) Experience in running transformation initiatives, direct management experience in the areas of responsibilities
(3) Experience in developing effective closed loop feedback processes for customers and employees to improve organizational effectiveness. Proven track record of operational pragmatism.
(4) Excellent project and organizational management skills, demonstrated experience in business and IT relationship management.**
