Ziosoft®, Inc. a provider in visualization and analysis software for medical imaging, is offering its new zioTerm™ basic 2D/3D software free to the academic and research communities. The Windows®-based software can be used for reviewing DICOM 3.0-compatible imaging data from CT, MR, PET, ultrasound and X-ray on a local computer connected to the internet. This software will provide students and researchers, who often do not have access to quality state of the art imaging tools, the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience using Ziosoft’s core 2D/3D software.
“We believe offering the zioTerm software at no cost is a good way to gain exposure and create brand awareness for Ziosoft and to increase interest in our full featured Ziostation thin-client system,” said Terry Chang, Ziosoft director of marketing. “We are pleased to be able to offer this tool to students and researchers who need to learn advanced imaging techniques but are often unable to afford the cost of the 2D/3D software. “
